DAWG Wish List: List

VOLUNTEERS

Have some free time to spare and want to help?  We consistently have a need for people with all types of abilities.  You must be sixteen or older, otherwise a guardian is required to be with you.

FOSTER HOMES

You share your home and attention with an animal in need for either short or long term care.  Supplies and medical expenses are covered by DAWG.

TOWELS/FLEECE BLANKETS

Full size towels are needed to clean the kennel area, wipe dogs after their walks in inclement weather and after baths.  Towels are also used in foster homes and the cat cottage.

PET FOOD

DAWG appreciates these quality brand pet foods: Costco (Kirkland) dog, cat kibble, and canned food, or any good quality food.

SPECIAL PET FOOD

Dogs and cats occasionally need specialty food to meet their individual nutritional requirements.  Examples include allergies, joint pain, health/age related concerns, pregnancy, sensitive digestion and senior or puppy/kitten needs.

COLLARS, 6FT LEASHES, AND HARNESSES

Walkers use this equipment on a daily basis.  Replacement is an on-going process.

TOYS

Cats love interactive cat toys. The dogs love tennis balls, Jolly balls and KONG toys.  Only black or red KONG chew toys are permitted in their kennels.

GIFT CARDS

Gift cards from retailers that carry animal care products help lower our costs.

VETERINARY CARE DONATIONS

We have accounts with Carson Valley Veterinary Hospital, Animal Medical Services and Quail Ridge Animal Hospital.  Ask the staff to credit your donation to our account.
