We believe in taking action with urgency in order to raise public awareness about some of the most pressing issues facing today’s society. We’re excited to announce that DAWG will be hosting a fundraising event on Saturday, May 18 at the Douglas County Community Center – DAWG’S GOT TALENT!

Join us for an Old Hollywood themed evening of dinner, drinks, a silent auction, and the main event of the evening – a talent show featuring local performers! Doors will open at 5:00pm.

Silent Auction Donations Needed!

As we prepare for our upcoming DAWG’s Got Talent fundraising event on Saturday, May 18, we are requesting donated gift baskets from our community. If you are interested in putting together a gift basket for our event, please see the list of suggested items below! Please email us at dawg.douglascountynv@gmail.com if you plan to make a basket, and we’ll share more information on when we need it, and where you can send it (we will also be able to come pick it up, if necessary)!

Gift Basket / Donation Suggestions:

At least $100 value per basket (or individual items if you have something other than a basket)

·        Artwork and local photography

·        Custom Jewelry

·        Movie Theme Basket (Popcorn, Candy, Movie Theater Gift Card, Restaurant Gift Card, Netflix or Amazon gift card, etc.)

·        Spa Baskets (massage gift certificate or products, bathrobe, slippers, nail care, salon gift card, etc.)

·        Wine Lovers Basket (gift certificate to winery or wine shop, cookbooks for wine lovers, wine or champagne, cheese and crackers, ice bucket, wine gadgets, etc.)

·        Beer or Spirits Gift Baskets (craft beer or spirits, coasters, nice glassware for 2, pretzels, charcuterie items, etc.)

·        Camping/Outdoor Baskets (skiing-themed items, fishing-themed items, hiking or camping-themed, etc!)

·        Foodie Baskets (chef tools, recipe books, truffle-anything, gift cards)

·        Pet lovers basket (grooming gift certificate, pet treats, toys, bowls, beds, etc.)

·        Game/Family night basket (games, popcorn, etc.)

COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE

DAWG's Community Assistance (CA) program helps primarily low-income, veterans and active duty military Douglas County residents keep their pets healthy by assisting with the cost of veterinary and other care.
